Texas, Toronto, and beyond...
Well, I'm finally back in my own apartment! It feels good to be back, althoughI do already miss the road... :(
Texas was great! It was awesome to see the family again, especially my dad. And they showed us a great time, for sure! I haven't eaten so much in FOREVER! Well... since the last time I was in Texas, lol. Steve asked my dad for his blessing on the engagement. Of course my dad said yes! Lol, Steve made my dad cry, which was both funny and touching. You could really tell that my dad appreciated that and it felt so good to see my dad's pride as he introduced Steve to everyone. But alas, the Texas trip ended too soon.
New Year's was kinda boring. But we had been traveling for two days straight, so we weren't really up for anything more than visiting with Amy, Michael and his new girlfriend and such really quick before going home, kissing at midnight and falling asleep. Hello 2008!
Toronto was a lot of fun. I FINALLY got to meet Steve's friend Ryan and his girlfriend Chelsea. They are both really nice! Chelsea has got to be the funniest girl I've ever met, seriously! We went glow in the dark mini golfing. Of course I kicked Steve's ass (well, three strokes, but who's counting? ). We went to Ryan's little girl's birthday party! That went well! She is the cutest thing I have ever seen! And I also got to spend a little more time with Steve's parents, which was cool because I haven't really gotten that much time with them. I've found out just how funny his dad is and his mom is just so cute! They made me a cake for my birthday the night before we left... I really appreciated that! :D
On that note, my birthday is on Wednesday. Wow... I'm going to be 21. It's not really the whole "drinking" thing that I'm looking forward to, but just the getting older thing. Of course I'm going to go out and drink. On Wednesday Steve is taking me out to dinner and I'm going to get 1 drink to commemorate the occasion. Then maybe on Saturday my friends and I will go out to dinner and then the bars. So, yeah. I just can't believe that this day has finally come and yet I don't feel as excited as I thought I would. *shrugs*
Anywho, I'm off! I have a lot of stuff to do today!
